The final day of the tennis kicked off with the Women’s Singles which saw Guernsey’s Ella Taylor take the gold medal after a straight-sets win over Isle of Wight’s Reegan Greenwood.

After winning his first set in the Men’s Singles final, Jersey’s number 1 ranked player and top seed Scott Clayton was defeated by Isle of Man’s Billy Harris who took home the gold medal after a championship tie-break at the end of a compelling contest. 

Isle of Man’s Karen Faragher and Laura Feeley won their match against Jersey’s Clare Clarke and Rebecca Edwards. At one set each it came down to an exciting tie-break, with Faragher and Feeley triumphing with a score of 10-5.

 All hope of a gold medal was not lost for Scott Clayton who played a superb match with partner James Connelly in the Men’s Doubles against Guernsey’s Dominic McLuskey and Pat Ogier, winning with a fantastic results of 6-1 6-2.

 The final tennis match of the week saw Rob West and Ella Taylor of Guernsey’s victory against Isle of Man’s Bruce Wagstaff and Karen Faragher with a final score of 6-4 6-1.
