Creative Jersey, the association formed recently to support the local creative sector, has been approached by the Jersey Island Games Association to assist with a bid for the 2015 Island Games. From an original ‘think tank’ of members, five local companies have joined together to form a ‘Creative Business Cluster’ to look at the marketing of the bid.
The cluster of companies will be assisting the Island Games Planning Committee by developing a brand for the bid, the design and updating of a website, digital interactive media such as video streaming over the internet, printing, public relations and project management.
The creative team are working on a 13-point proposal with the Island Games Committee and it is anticipated that the preliminary brand and website design will be launched some time in June.
Chairman of Creative Jersey, Martyn Aubert, commented:
“We are delighted to have been approached by the Island Games Committee to support them in the bid. To secure the Island Games would be a tremendous boost for the Island and we are delighted that local businesses are being given the opportunity to be involved in this exciting project”.
