We believe in giving our islands' sporting stars the opportunity to shine - and so we want the Jersey 2015 Island Games to be a platform for competitors, supporters and all our fellow islanders (as well as the Games themselves) to grow and develop ... a stepping stone for greater things.
As well as giving hundreds of sportspeople from different backgrounds and islands the chance to demonstrate their sporting skill, we want to include as many people as possible in the build up to 2015. Through this website, you can get involved early, whether you are going to participate and would like to plan your time whilst on the island or you just want to feel part of the event from now on in.
Of course, we aim to ensure there is plenty of time to exchange ideas, cultures and, more importantly, develop new friendships.
For us, the Bid Committee, we believe we have started this process by taking the bid 'document' to another stage. This website has been created to bring interaction between competitors and islanders from across the world - enabling anyone, from any island or sport, to get behind Jersey's bid for 2015. By building a website to help support the bid, we've tried to bring everyone into the process, making it interactive and accessible to all.
