Natwest Island Games XVI - Jersey Island Games - a time to shine

Pin Badges Arrive In Jersey

The official NatWest Island Games XVI pin badges have arrived in Jersey.

A total of 10,000 copies have been produced and the designer, 14-year-old Ben Volpe, got the first one.

The design, which incorporates both the Jersey flag and island map, was voted for by islanders from a shortlist of 12.

The badge measures 30mm x 30mm and each competitor and official will be given one. It is also on sale at:

  • all three Jersey Waitrose branches
  • Durrell
  • Jersey Tourism information centre
  • Broad Street Post Office

Profits will go towards sports development and equipment in Jersey.

Jersey's Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, was also presented with one at the Waitrose Games Maker event on Saturday 13 December, and Ben was in Waitrose at Rue des Pres with store manager Duncan Langston.
