The New Gilson Hall at La Pouquelaye will be the venue for badminton. Situated on the outskirts of St Helier, this purpose built 5-court facility was first used during the 1997 Games and has a viewing area and catering facilities as well as generous parking.

Competition area

The hall is a purpose built badminton facility with 5 courts and associated changing and catering facilities. The floor is wooden, maple sprung, with lighting to international standards.

Spectator seating

Viewing is from balcony for up to 200 spectators.

Present status of facility

The facility is in good condition and will be maintained at this level.

Organisational capability of the Sport

The Jersey Badminton Association has a good record in organising events and hosted the Island Games Badminton competition in 1997.

Training Facilities
Whilst competitors are on the island, and in the build up to their specific event, there will be training facilities available, enabling participants to acclimatize and keep up the momentum.
