Springfield, which was also the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies in 1997, will be used for a number of the football matches, as well as the final.
In the past 12 years, it has successfully staged prestigious international youth tournaments featuring the likes of Manchester United, Benfica, Glasgow Celtic and Boca Juniors as well as high profile exhibition matches between Jersey representative sides and professional outfits such as Everton, Coventry City and Stade Rennais.
Jersey has 19 football clubs, many of which boast sports pitches and clubhouse facilities of an extremely high standard. A number of these will be used for training and competition purposes.
