Sailing competitors will be based either at the St Helier or Royal Channel Islands Yacht Clubs at opposite ends of St Aubin’s Bay.

This bay will also be the venue for the windsurfing, although competitors for this event will have their base at Bel Royal, situated halfway along the sweep of this wide sandy beach.

Competition area

A dedicated storage area for the boats and sail boards will be set up at Bel Royal or La Collette Marina.

Spectator seating

None but there is good visibility from surrounding areas.

Present status of facility

Regular races take place in the bay.

Organisational capability of the Sport

The Jersey Sailing Association would form a Committee to organise sailing and windsurfing events. They have experience of organising international regattas.

One international judge would be brought in.

Details of what has to be achieved to ensure the sport/discipline/event takes place

Boats and Sail boards will be purchased.

Any additional comments

We will arrange for the boats and boards to be sold on at a reduced rate, either locally or back to the UK.

Training Facilities
Whilst competitors are on the island, and in the build up to their specific event, there will be training facilities available, enabling participants to acclimatize and keep up the momentum.
